Indy & Vida approved !

Do you love useful things? Tired of trying different items and ending up disappointed?

Well I love to find useful and helpful gear, gadgets and good stuff for my dog so I thought that I would share some of my favourites with you.

If you follow me on social media you will have seen my cute dog robes that I bought for the dogs- especially Moose the golden retriever that walks with me a few times a week. He is the biggest water dog I have ever met and will happily seek out any body of water, big or small, and proceed to look for me as he slowly lowers his body into the water…LOL ! He is the goofiest guy I just love him.

This robe is also great for after a bath, maybe at Courtenay Bosley's , so that your sweet pup doesn’t get cold on the ride home. Cause you know they are NOT letting you use the air dryer on them HAHAHA!

If you wash your dog at home then you will love this ultra absorbent microfiber towel to dry off your pup and the bath mat to make sure they don’t track their cute little paw prints all over the house. Indy loves to snuggle in her robe by the fire after a bath especially in these cooler months. If you want some awesome hand mitt drying towels or some great food toys head over to Messy Mutts which is a great Canadian company offering may unique options.

I am all about the mental enrichment for our dogs and if I can incorporate enrichment into a meal then I feel like the queen of productivity! There isn’t always time for our morning game session but Indy still needs her breaky so if I want to enrich her meal I have so many options. My go to is a noise box which you can make at home with a box and some recycling. But I also have some puzzles, a toppl, lick mat or lick bowl , snuffle ball , snuffle mat or a silicone snuffle mat that all provide great mental enrichment for Indy.

Indy and I love to practice dog parkour on our adventures and your dog needs a harness to properly and safely participate so my go to is this double clip harness one from Rocky Mountain Dog . It provides the proper “Y” shaped form to allow full shoulder movement when running/jumping, a handy safety handle on the back for emergency situations or just to help spot your dog when doing parkour, the clip on the front also allows you to use a double clip leash to have the best control of your dog when walking.

If you are looking for anything else for yourself or your dog Rocky Mountain Dog has a full store of super cool items for everyone in the house.. well maybe not the cat LOL but you will get a bit of a discount if you use my link and who doesn’t like a discount!

Some of my favourite preventative products are from Only One Treats in Surrey BC. They offer high quality dehydrated treats that are great for helping bridge the gap for your dog, like coming home from a super fun hike, walk or play can cause some dogs to get the zoomies and go crazy when they get home. If you offer them a chew on the car ride home or right when you arrive home they will have an outlet for their energy and this helps them to be able to control their energy till they are calmer and can relax enough for sleep.

They also offer Indy’s favourite toothpaste and green lipped mussel powder which helps keep her muscles, ligaments, tendons and joints flexible and lubricated. Indy and Vida love it mixed with cream cheese on their lick mats.

I am always adding new favourite items and trying out new techniques for mental enrichment. I hope that you enjoyed this post with a little bit of insight into Indy and I’s world, we love to share what works for us and how you can add enrichment and gadgets into your life to make things easier for us (the parents) and the dogs.
